MLT Industries has released the SwitchMaster platform as an open-source 12V control system for 4WDs, caravans, campers, boats, trades and fleet vehicles.
We built SwitchMaster because most smart 12V systems lock users into closed apps, closed hardware and limited upgrade paths. That is not good enough for gear that lives in harsh environments and needs to keep working years down the track.
So we are opening the platform.
The firmware, app direction, BLE protocol and development notes are being made available so owners, makers, auto sparkies and developers can build on it, repair it, modify it and keep it alive.

Open source does not mean unsupported hardware.
MLT Industries will continue supplying SwitchMaster hardware, cases, parts and accessories where available. If you want the finished board, enclosure, output plugs or install gear without building everything yourself, you can still buy it from us.

For developers and tinkerers
The platform is built around ESP32 hardware and BLE control.
You can use the published protocol to build your own app, integrate it into your own system, write your own firmware, or adapt SwitchMaster into something completely different.
Documentation, source code and development notes will be published and updated over time.
For Customers
If you just want a working 12V management system, nothing changes.
You can still buy SwitchMaster hardware and use it like normal. The difference is that the platform is now more future-proof. You are not locked into one app, one vendor or one development path.
